-- SortLogic SYSTEMS Surpasses Milestone of 100 Million Checks Processed Per Day, Representing Over 2 Billion Checks A Month -- PLANO, TX, March 7, 2005 --
SortLogic SYSTEMS, a division of Omni-Soft, Inc., today announced significant growth in its component software initiatives with more than 100 million checks per day - representing over 2 billion checks per month - now processed using the company's SortLogic 3890/XP Emulation and SortLogic Simulator products. Based on conservative volume estimates for the prospects in its pipeline, SortLogic SYSTEMS expects to grow this daily volume throughput more than 50 percent by year's end.
The company also announced that the Federal Reserve Bank, Fiserv, Electronic Data Systems, First Data, and 55 leading financial institutions in the United States, Puerto Rico and Spain, have installed the modules. Overall, four of the top five U.S. financial institutions (in assets), seven of the top 10 U.S. banks, and 12 of the top 25 banks, use SortLogic 3890/XP Emulation and SortLogic Simulator for their demanding workloads.
In all, SortLogic has sold more than 260 copies of SortLogic 3890/XP Emulation and over 380 copies of SortLogic Simulator through its value added reseller network.
"No other company has demonstrated a stronger commitment to helping users ensure software and hardware interoperability in the new Check 21 environment than SortLogic SYSTEMS," said Clint Shank, president of Omni-Soft. "Beyond the 100 million check a day milestone, SortLogic SYSTEMS is uniquely positioned to offer the components end-users need to best leverage legacy and emerging systems in the Check 21 enterprise."
The SortLogic 3890/XP Emulation product makes non-IBM document sorters appear to a financial institution's host as if they were real, direct-connected 3890/XPs. SortLogic Simulator provides application developers the ability to use their customer's sort programs to qualify documents like a real IBM 3890/XP transport. SortLogic Simulator offers callable 3890/XP code line validation, and supports all 3890/XP document decision capabilities, as well as run-profile processing and calls to native language routines through SCI.
